New Constitution

On Thursday on 24 June 2021, the Members of PLC (being the members of the College Council) approved the College’s updated Constitution (Memorandum and Articles of Association) following the introduction of new minimum standards required by the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) by 1 July 2021.

Since the adoption of the College Constitution over 40 years ago, several key legislative and regulatory frameworks governing the conduct and operation of not-for profit entities have significantly changed. The changes we have made to the College Constitution will enable PLC to comply with those requirements, maintain good governance and preserve the core principles and mechanisms contained in the original document.

With the process complete, the College is now able to meet the compliance obligations for all legislation and statutory regulations and maintain good governance for the College Council.
