Over the weekend of 29 and 30 July, Charlotte in Year 7 competed in the 2017 International Open Judo Championship held in Auckland, New Zealand.  

Charlotte won GOLD in the Senior Girls Under 15 Weight Division (in her weight category, middleweight) from sixteen competitors.

Charlotte also entered the Senior Girls Open Weight Division where she won Silver from thirty competitors.  

The competition attracted competitors from New Zealand, French Polynesia, Caledonia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Germany and was the largest in the region.
