Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne is a leading ELC-Year 12 Christian independent school for girls offering both the VCE and International Baccalaureate.
PLC has an outstanding academic tradition, an international focus and strong pastoral and co-curricular programs focusing on encouraging leadership, service and life-long personal development and learning.
As 2023 draws near, PLC is excited to announce a part-time (0.45 FTE) fixed-term vacancy has become available for an English Teacher in Terms 1 and 2.
In this role, you will be teaching across Years 8, 9 and 10 English.
This role would suit a recent graduate looking to make their mark in a leading independent girls’ school, or a seasoned English Teacher who is perhaps seeking some work-life balance.
The English Teacher will work closely with an accomplished, highly collaborative team of educators who are focused on creative, reflective development of curriculum and outcomes for our students.
You will be a passionate English educator who has sound knowledge of current practice through AITSL standards, and the ability to teach English creatively and with academic rigour.
You are passionate about your field of teaching, and can confidently guide, develop and nurture our students’ love of learning, whilst also understanding the need for strong classroom practice and the maintenance of high standards amongst our students.
You will represent a positive role model for young women, be able to relate well to students, colleagues and parents, and be committed to the integrity and Christian ethos of the College.
If this sounds like an opportunity of interest, please introduce yourself to us.
All staff must commit to a culture that supports and embraces Child Safe Standards. The successful applicant will be required to hold and maintain a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
