A proud graduate of Presbyterian Ladies' College, having attended the Early Learning Centre through to completing Year 12 in 2008, Nicole Werner MP (2008) has fond memories of PLC where lifelong friendships were formed, many life lessons were learned and values were instilled in her that profoundly shaped the person she is today.
Nicole was honoured to have been elected as a State Member of Parliament for the electorate of Warrandyte on 26 August 2023. She was the first woman to represent the seat of Warrandyte, currently the youngest woman in the Legislative Assembly, and the first Asian woman ever elected to the Legislative Assembly in Victorian Parliament. She is proud to be a pioneer in the Parliament and in diversity in representation in public office.
Nicole believes that the legacy of PLC continues to thrive in the achievements of its alumnae and she is proud to be a part of the community. ‘As I look back on my journey so far, especially now as I await the arrival of my first baby, I encourage all current students at PLC to embrace every opportunity, connect with your community, and dream big! The future is bright, and with you all, it’s in great hands.’
Presbyterian Ladies’ College acknowledges the Wurundjeri, Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians, by God’s gracious providence, of the land on which our school stands.
