About us
About us
The PLC Aquatic Centre has been home to a thriving community of swimmers, divers, and artistic swimmers since opening in 1994 and after establishing our clubs in 2000.
PLC Aquatic has grown into an inclusive hub for people of all ages and abilities, from beginners taking their first strokes to athletes pursuing excellence on the national stage. We welcome members from both the College and the wider community.
Nestled within the Joan Montgomery Centre (JMC), our aquatic precinct features an eight lane 50 metre pool, a dedicated learn-to-swim pool and platform diving towers and springboards, 1m and 3m — offering a truly world-class pool-side environment. Our members have achieved remarkable success, including Paralympian Tim Disken OAM, and we continue to inspire individuals to reach their personal best.
A community for everyone
PLC Aquatics is more than a swim school. It's a community where we welcome everyone, offering opportunities to learn, train, and compete while forming lifelong friendships. Many of our families grow with us — from parents bringing their children to lessons to those who return as coaches and teachers, sharing their love of the water with the next generation.
Whether you’re looking to learn essential life skills, build confidence, or challenge yourself in competition, PLC Aquatic provides a supportive and vibrant environment for all.
Our values
At PLC Aquatic, we believe in:
- Community: Bringing people together through shared passion and teamwork.
- Growth: Encouraging confidence, perseverance, resilience and personal bests, both in and out of the pool.
- Connection: Building relationships that last, from children taking their first lessons to those who return as teachers and mentors.
