Dive into your potential

PLC Aquatic’s diving program offers springboard diving for all ages and abilities, from recreational beginners to elite competitors. Whether you’re looking to try something new in a fun, supportive environment or aiming for state and national competitions, our program is designed to be tailored to your current level and help you grow with confidence.

Why join our diving program?

Inclusive & progressive

We welcome divers starting from around age 6, guiding them from their very first jumps to advanced diving techniques.

Expert coaching

Our qualified coaches tailor training to each diver’s individual goals: improving fitness, technique, confidence, strength, and competition skills.

Structured pathway

With four squad levels, divers can progress at their own pace, advancing only when they're ready.

Performance & fun

We prioritise enjoyment, personal development and community, while also offering opportunities to compete in competitions from novice to nationals.

Facilities

Our facility includes a deep 4 m dive pool with 1 m and 3 m springboards, 1m, 3m and 5m platforms plus a dryland gym/trampoline centre to build strength, flexibility, and aerial control.

Our Squads and program levels

Our diving squads are structured for each level to build on the last, giving divers a clear pathway from beginner to advanced.

Dive Stars (Beginner)

Dive Stars is designed for children aged 6+ who are new to diving. This squad builds water confidence, body awareness, and foundational skills through fun activities like forward and backward jumps, board bouncing, and simple somersaults from the pool edge or low springboards. Divers progress to Bronze Squad once they have mastered these basics.

Bronze Squad (Advanced Beginner)

Bronze Squad is for divers with some experience and good aerial awareness. Sessions focus on key foundational dives such as forward jumps and dives, back jumps and dives, somersaults and inward dives, as well as basic hurdle technique, from both 1 m and 3 m boards. Divers also develop strength and spatial awareness in the water, preparing them to move into Silver Squad.

Silver Squad (Development / Competitive)

Silver Squad is designed for divers ready to commit to competitions. Training includes a variety of dives from 1 m and 3 m boards, incorporating forward, backward, inward, and somersaults. Divers attend one to three sessions per week, improving technique, strength, and confidence, while preparing for school competitions and Diving Victoria events. Advancement to Gold Squad is based on meeting age-appropriate dive requirements.

Gold Squad (Advanced / Competitive)

Gold Squad is our top-level program for divers targeting Club Challenge, State, and National competitions. Divers train 2–4 times per week in 2-hour sessions that include pool and dryland training to build strength, flexibility, aerial control and excellent diving technique. The focus is on developing  a competition dive list across multiple boards, enhancing fitness, and achieving competitive goals at the highest level.

Training environment & tools

Our 4 m-deep dive pool houses 1 m and 3 m springboards, 5m platform, and we also have dryland training areas with trampolines and sprung floors to improve aerial awareness, strength, and control. Dryland sessions, especially for Silver and Gold squads, focus on core stability, flexibility, and strength exercises that complement in-water training.
