PLC Foundation members immerse themselves in French Impressionism
The PLC Foundation recently hosted its annual Winter Masterpieces event, a beloved tradition that saw members and their families captivated by the vibrant world of French Impressionism at the National Gallery of Victoria.
This highly anticipated outing, a cornerstone of the Foundation's calendar for nearly 20 years, offered an exclusive opportunity to explore over 100 masterpieces by iconic artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and many more.
Attendees were transported to 19th-century France, experiencing the groundbreaking techniques and luminous palettes that defined the Impressionist movement. Beyond the artistic immersion, the group also enjoyed a delightful high tea, fostering connection and camaraderie among members.
Foundation President Diana Bevington and Vice President Li-Leen Tan extended their heartfelt gratitude to all members for their unwavering support. They emphasized the profound impact the PLC Foundation has made for PLC girls, highlighting this year’s $1.1M gift to the Joan Montgomery Centre as a testament to the collective efforts of the group.
Events like the Winter Masterpieces tour not only provide enriching cultural experiences but also underscore the strong community fostered by the PLC Foundation.
