Celebrating 2025 IB Results

Dec 18, 2025 1:44 AM

We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our Year 12 students following the release of this year’s International Baccalaureate (IB) results.

Of the 46 students who completed the IB, four achieved a perfect score of 45 out of 45, with a further eight students scoring 44. The median IB score for the cohort was an impressive 41.

In terms of ATAR outcomes, 26 per cent of our Year 12 IB students achieved an ATAR of 99.5 or above. A remarkable 39 per cent achieved an ATAR of 99 or above, while 85 per cent achieved an ATAR of 90 or above. The median ATAR for 2025 is 97.4.

Our Principal, Dr Emma Burgess, commended IB students for both their exceptional results and their commitment to completing this internationally recognised diploma.

“The two-year International Baccalaureate program ensures a holistic education, promoting deep academic achievement alongside the personal maturity required to think critically, pose essential questions, and embrace a global outlook. Our girls have performed exceptionally well and they should be incredibly proud of their hard-earned results.”

Our IB Duces, Jocelyn Lau, Celeste Tam and Joanna Wu, all achieved perfect IB scores of 45 and ATARs of 99.95. Our IB Proxime Accessit is Katherine Zhao, who also scored 45 in IB, with an ATAR equivalent of 99.9.

Reflecting on her achievement, Joanna commented, “When I saw my results, I remember feeling shocked but also very proud of myself. I hope to complete Medicine at Monash in the near future, so receiving a 45 makes me feel optimistic that this dream will be possible.”

Celeste expressed her heartfelt thanks to her teachers and classmates at PLC for their ongoing support throughout her journey. “I am deeply grateful for their guidance and encouragement, and I truly could not have done this without them”, she said. “Looking ahead, I hope to continue striving to become the best version of myself and to use what I have learned to help others in need.”

Jocelyn hopes to study Medicine at Monash next year, while Katherine hopes to study Commerce and Law at Melbourne University in the future.

Dr Burgess added, “We are confident that our young women will embrace this exciting next chapter of their lives as they continue to learn, pursue their passions and interests, ultimately making a positive impact on the world.”
