The PLC Foundation warmly invites you and your family to join us for a community celebration and cultural discovery of traditions marking the Lunar New Year.
Celebrated for more than 3,000 years, the Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the new year in the lunisolar calendar. Originating in East and Southeast Asia, it is now celebrated worldwide as a time to gather, reflect and welcome new beginnings.
The PLC community is invited to enjoy a traditional banquet by award-winning caterers Crystal Palace, featuring symbolic dishes inspired by Lunar New Year traditions.
Highlights include a vibrant lion dance performance, believed to bring good luck and happiness, and children will receive a traditional red envelope filled with ‘gold coins’ as a gesture of generosity and good wishes for the year ahead.
