130 Old Collegians were inspired by Lord Mayor Sally Capp (1986) in the iconic Supper Room, Melbourne Town Hall, last Saturday.

Principal Cheryl Penberthy and PLC OCA President Ailsa Wilson (1978) welcomed guests, and Year 9 students and former Director of Music Dr Ros McMillan (1959) led everyone in singing the School Song and Melba Scholar, Anisha (Year 11) performing a saxaphone solo.

PLC Classes 2018-1949, current and past staff, and 17 mothers-and-daughter thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon together as Sally shared that her PLC education – its values, and beliefs and encouragement to try new things – prepared her to persevere with the challenges and complex projects as Lord Mayor.  Not least homelessness, lockdowns and lockdown recovery.
