Trumpet & Classroom Music Teacher / Head of Brass - Closes 27 November

Position Overview

PLC is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic educator to the part-time (approximately 0.55 FTE), ongoing position of Trumpet and Classroom Music Teacher / Head of Brass, commencing at the beginning of Term 1, 2020.  

The Head of Brass is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the brass program at the College. 

The successful applicant will be required to teach both group and individual trumpet lessons, teach classroom music, as well as take part in the co-curricular Music Program of the College.  

It is expected that the successful applicant will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the pedagogical principles of both general music education and more specifically, trumpet playing and teaching.  Strong conducting skills would be an advantage.  VIT registration is required.
