Learning Support Assistant
PLC invites applications from experienced Learning Support Assistants, for a part-time (0.6 FTE) permanent position commencing Term 1 2022. This is a term-time only position.
The incumbent will support Teachers with targeted students who have specific educational needs to access the curriculum.
The Learning Support Assistant reports to the Head of Learning Enhancement, and will join a friendly, highly collaborative team of educators who are committed to supporting students’ learning needs across the College.
This position has a secondary school student focus, so ideally you will have sound experience supporting special needs of students in Years 10-12. The position also presents an opportunity to work with some of our indigenous students.
We are seeking a candidate who is adaptable, has a positive work ethic, demonstrates excellent communication skills (written and verbal), exercises discretion and confidentiality in their working practices, has the ability to build trusting relationships, and who has strong ICT skills.
