Head of Learning Enhancement / Special Education Teacher

The Role

PLC is seeking an experienced, innovative and passionate educator for this important leadership and management role in the College. 

The Head of Learning Enhancement / Special Education Teacher, is a part-time (0.8 FTE) position commencing Term 1 2022. The Head of Department is offered as 0.4 FTE for an initial 5-year fixed term, and the teaching position is offered as a 0.4 FTE ongoing appointment.

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum for English as an Additional Language (EAL), the Gifted and Talented Program and Learning Support Programs in Years 7-12.

The ideal candidate will be suitably qualified and with sound experience in assessment and identification of students at both ends of the spectrum, those with learning needs, and those who are highly abled.
