PLC Aquatic Centre is committed to providing educational programs which aim to develop competency in the lifelong skills of water safety and survival, health and physical activity in aquatic environments whilst focusing on participation and having fun. Comprehensive aquatic programs are offered to children attending the College starting at the Early Learning Centre, developing through the Junior School and continuing on into the Senior School. The Aquatic Centre program covers units in Learn to Swim and Water Safety, stroke development, water survival, springboard diving and water polo.
The PLC Aquatic Centre also offers Learn to Swim and Water Safety programs, club swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and courses for the local community.
PLC Aquatic Club
The PLC Aquatic Club was formed in 2000 to provide PLC students and members of the wider community with ongoing training and opportunities to participate competitively in the disciplines of Swimming, Diving and Synchronised Swimming. The Club currently has representatives in each of the 3 disciplines at State and National level.
Club Membership is a requirement for all College and community participants who train in swimming (beginner and advanced squads), diving and synchronised swimming squads.

Learn to Swim and Water Safety Classes
The PLC Aquatic Centre provides quality swimming and water safety lessons for a range of abilities; from infants to adults, beginner to squad level. Our staff are highly qualified, experienced and committed to providing a program that encompasses water familiarisation, water safety, survival techniques, deep water experience, stroke development, fitness and fun. Classes are conducted in the Learner’s Pool (0.5m – 1.0m depth), in the 25m Pool (1.2m – 1.8m depth) and in the Dive Pool (3.8m deep).
Lessons are held at the centre on Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, 3:45pm – 6:45pm and Saturday mornings, 8 am –11:30am for children 3+ years of age. Our Infant/Toddler program is held on Saturday afternoons 12 noon and 12:30pm, which includes parent/carer involvement. Lessons are of 30-minute duration and Terms usually have 8 lessons.

The LTS & WS is a 5-day intensive program for children 3 years and over. Lessons are of 30-minute duration and the cost is $75. Class times are 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10: 30, 11:00 and 11:30am.
A 5-day diving program is also available during the holidays. Lessons last for 1 hour and the program aims to provide an introduction to springboard diving. Class times are 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00am. This program cost is $100.
AUSTSWIM Courses
PLC Aquatic offers the AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Courses. Infant course and competitive strokes courses. Course dates are as follows: -

LSV Courses
PLC Aquatic is a Life Saving Victoria Licensed Course provider.

Parking
Aquatic Centre patrons may park in:
- the senior school parking area, entry is via Gate 4 in Parer St
Health
- If medical symptoms of any gastrointestinal infection are known or suspected, please do not attend lesson
- Use toilets and showers before using the swimming pool
- Papillomas or other infectious sites must be treated and covered prior to pool entry
