Learning @ PLC
Senior School

PLC seeks to fully develop knowledge, skills and understanding across all learning areas and seeks to nurture the spirit, talents and capacities of every student. In a rapidly changing and information-rich world, all students need to have the capacity to cope with unpredictable problems and unforeseeable circumstances. By developing students into effective learners, the College is providing building blocks for their effective participation in the community of the future. Productive habits of mind along with attitudes and perceptions, form the backdrop of the learning process of which there are three parts: the acquisition and integration of knowledge; the extension and refinement of knowledge; the meaningful use and evaluation of knowledge.

Experience has shown that PLC's outstanding results are best achieved through the pursuit of a broad and balanced program of curricular and co-curricular activities, chosen by each girl to reflect her personal interests and abilities, supplemented with appropriate personal development programs, and undertaken with support and encouragement from staff, fellow-students and parents.

In Years 11 and 12 PLC offers the Victorian Certificate of Education and the International Baccalaureate. For more details please select Curriculum from the menu.
