Drama and dance studies are part of the compulsory curriculum in the Early Learning Centre and the Junior School.
In the Senior School students study Drama as a core subject at Year 8 and can choose Drama as an elective subject at Years 9 and 10.
The College also offers VCE Theatre Studies units 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Numerous musical and drama performances cater for instrumentalists, singers, actors, dancers and backstage technicians. Encouraging the development of confidence as well as talent, annual traditions range from House Concerts, for which students create and direct a ‘mini-musical’ on a given theme, to the massed choirs and orchestras on stage at the Melbourne Concert Hall for Senior School Speech Night. The Year 8 drama production and the Senior School musical are conducted in collaboration with Scotch College, whilst Senior Drama offers the opportunity for students to develop a range of acting skills in both classical and modern drama.
