PLC Scholarships
PLC aims to nurture the overall development of each girl. Her progression towards becoming an independent, responsible citizen, equipped with skills for life, begins from the time she enters PLC, whatever her age.
PLC participates in the ACER co-operative testing program for entry into Year 5 and Years 7 to 11 inclusive.
Each year the College offers academic and general excellence scholarships to enable talented students to enjoy a PLC education. Daughters of Old Collegians are encouraged to apply.
Music and boarding scholarships are also offered for Years 7 to 11 entry.
Registration is only available on-line.
Parents should apply to all schools they wish their daughters to be considered for. PLC will consider candidates that choose PLC as their 1st preference and country candidates may elect to sit at one of the country centres by prior arrangement.
Candidates are expected to be currently studying in the year prior to the entry level for which they are applying.
Students currently attending PLC Senior School are ineligible to sit for the Years 8 to 11 scholarships.
All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the results of the testing, the most recent school report and an interview.
Cost
A fee of $90 for each candidate covers entry for one or more of the scholarships available. ACER adds a surcharge for students who sit for the Years 7-11 examination overseas, making the fee for those students $300.
